What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Buildings Repairer position at City of Saint Paul?
The Saint Paul Fire Department is looking for a knowledgeable Fire Buildings Repairer to join our team.
Here’s what you can expect to do:
- Performs preventive maintenance and repair work of building structures, heating/air conditioning/plumbing systems, equipment, machinery, appliances, furniture and fixtures.
- Fabricates equipment parts from raw stock such as special sheet metal ducts, metal frames, racks and shelving, signs, cabinets, tools, equipment boxes, and training equipment.
- Performs custodial duties to clean the Maintenance Shop and operates snow blowers, and lawn mowers to maintain facilities.

Must possess a Special Engineer Boiler License.
Two years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of building structures and mechanical equipment.
Must possess a Type I and II Refrigeration Technician Certification approved by the Environmental Protection Agency within six months of the date of appointment
Must possess and maintain a valid Minnesota Class D Driver's License, or equivalent out-of-state driver's license.
