The City of Russellville is accepting applications for a Street Department Equipment Operator. This position performs skilled work operating heavy road and specialized construction and maintenance equipment in support of Street Department projects. Work is performed under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor.

- Provide excellent customer service to citizens and City staff
- Maintain positive working relationships and dependable attendance
- Mow, weed eat, trim, and prune rights-of-way and assigned areas
- Prune and remove hazardous trees
- Operate heavy equipment for leveling, grading, and excavating
- Operate loaders, Bobcat, and other specialized and standard equipment
- Transport equipment and materials to and from job sites
- Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance
- Serve on-call to respond to after-hours service needs, as assigned
- Remove snow and ice from downtown areas, parks, and trails
- Perform manual labor as required
- Complete other related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to prepare routine reports and communicate effectively with coworkers and the public
- Basic math skills, including measurements, ratios, and percentages
- Ability to follow written, oral, and diagram instructions and solve practical problems
- Valid Arkansas Driver’s License required
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
