CITY OF ROLLA FIRE & RESCUE
Salary Range:
Firefighter I & II IFSAC certified $44,569 - $61,694
Firefighter Cadet Non-certified $36,834 - $50,987
Plus ten paid holidays, one personal holiday after one year of service, and possible overtime (non-exempt employee)
Description of Basic Duties:
Selected candidates will be required to perform a variety of duties, such as firefighting, routine maintenance, cleaning of city buildings, operate an emergency vehicle in a safe and defensive manner, meet physical aspects of job, and perform other duties as job requires.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.
State Certified Firefighter I & II preferred required within 12 months of appointment.
Missouri First Responder within 12 months of appointment.
Other Requirements:
Must be a USA citizen at least 21 years of age as of April 14, 2026 while possessing a valid driver’s license.
Must successfully pass the following examinations and board interviews: Physical Agility Test, Written Fire Entry Exam, Peer Review Board, background investigation, and a medical physical examination including drug screening.
Written Testing TBA, Time and Location TBA. A Driver’s License and a copy of your Social Security Card, and High School Diploma (GED), must be provided at that time.
Applicants who pass the written exam will be given the Physical Ability Test. Applicants who pass the ability test will be given an interview immediately following. More information will be provided at the written exam.
Must reside within a twenty (20) mile radius or twenty-five (25) minute response at the posted speed limit of the City limits within six (6) months after appointment.
