The Gym Supervisor provides general oversight and supervision of activities and/or facilities within the Parks & Recreation division. This may include youth and adult sports leagues and programs, day camps, or other special events.
Locations: Redmond Senior and Community Center, Old Redmond School House Community Center, and other recreational facilities
Assignment Duration: Ongoing; programs are offered seasonally.
Hours/Schedule: The schedule for this role is evenings from 4-11 pm. The position is limited to a maximum of 29 hours per week and no more than 1,040 hours per year.

- Prepares facilities for leagues/programs; oversee other programs as applicable
- Open/close facilities when needed
- Distribute/collect equipment
- Maintain communication documentation, manage other paperwork
- Help schedule staff and volunteers, assist with training, cover staff breaks
- Organize supplies
- Plan daily events; may provide score keeping and/or officiating for activities and events
- Communicate with and work with players and volunteer coaches on game days
- Handle conflicts that may come up
- Arrive on time for your shift
- Interact positively with other officials and staff. Promote a positive sportsmanship environment.
- Bring energy and enthusiasm
- Take the time to understand, explain, and enforce the rules.
- General knowledge of a variety of recreational activities and/or sports
- Successful passing of a required background check
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One to two years of applicable experience
- Minimum age 16
- Must have or obtain First Aid and CPR within two months of hire
