ICE ARENA BUILDING SUPERVISOR

Location: Rapid City, SD

Job Summary: This position will lead our front desk operations and supervise Ice Rink Staff to ensure a great experience for all of our visitors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides friendly, efficient and accurate customer service by assisting customers, managing sign-ups, and handling phone inquiries.
• Performs data entry, processing of cash transactions and deposits. Ensures closing paperwork is completed.
• Supervises all temporary part-time staff, excluding maintenance, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to safety and other rink protocols.
• Verifies that checklists are completed at the end of staff shifts and ensures all tasks are properly executed.
• Adhere to safety standards and promptly address safety hazards, emergency situations, and injuries to maintain a safe work environment.
• Operates standard office equipment such as copiers, computer keyboards, and printers.
• Ensures a safe and clean working environment by performing custodial duties, including sweeping, mopping, wiping counters, and cleaning equipment as needed.
• Assists customers with concessions if other staff are not on duty or are not available due to helping other customers.
• Demonstrates safe food practices and monitors concession staff to ensure appropriate preparation, handling and food storage.
Performs other activities as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must be age 18 or older.
• Previous cash-handling experience preferred, but training is available.
First Aid and CPR certification preferred, but training is available.

Work Environment:

• This position will work in office areas but also in cold areas, indoors and possibly outdoors.
• May be exposed to cleaning chemicals.
• Noise level is generally moderate, with the possibility of loud noise.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
