Job Description
The Raleigh Convention & Performing Arts Complex invites qualified candidates to apply for the part-time position of Performing Arts Stage Technician. Stagehands of all skill levels are encouraged to apply. Possible areas of work include but are not limited to lighting, audio, video, scenic, properties and wardrobe.
Work Hours:Please note that the work hours of this temporary, part-time position vary depending on the event schedule. Night, holiday, and weekend work is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by employees in this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
- Follow supervisory directions safely and effectively
- Help in the safe installation, operation, and dismantling of equipment and materials as required by the performing group and or house
Typical Qualifications
Education or Experience:
- Knowledge of commonly used theatrical terminology, methods, materials and fasteners is necessary for some roles but not required for entry level responsibilities
- Experience in a theatrical, construction or manufacturing environment is necessary for some roles but not required for entry level responsibilities.
