Position Summary

The City of Prescott Department of Public Works is seekingan

experienced, knowledgeable and collaborative professional for the

City\'s Wastewater Division, in the position of Senior Utility Worker -

Wastewater Collections. Under general supervision of the Wastewater

Collection Supervisor(s), the ideal candidate will lead a two-person

crew working as a team on Wastewater Collection daily operations &

maintenance assignments.

Essential Duties

• Leads wastewater operations & maintenance crew(s) on daily
  
  

assignments

• Ensures projects are adequately completed on time
• Addresses operational issues/questions; responds to customer
  
  

complaints and inquiries

• Operates various types of equipment including CCTV, jet rodder,
  
  

combination jet/vac, steel rodder, crane/service truck, easement

machine, backhoe, dump truck, and pickup truck; utilizes hand tools

including jack hammers, whackers, digging bars, and shovels

• Performs minor repairs on equipment and schedules repairs with Fleet
  
  

Maintenance; checks and maintains fluid levels, lubricates and

refuels equipment as necessary

• Performs a variety of manual and semi-skilled activities associated
  
  

with wastewater line maintenance and repair including locating

wastewater lines and breaks

• Excavating and replacing sections of streets, curbs, driveways, and
  
  

sidewalks

• Removing and replacing landscaping in yards and right-of-way;
  
  

installing and tapping sewer lines;

• Assumes responsibility for job site safety in compliance with OSHA
  
  

and City safety standards

• Performs all other related duties, including data entry in the
  
  

City\'s Computer Maintenance Management System as required to

complete daily activities
