- Position Summary:**Predominantly performs residential and commercial
and explosion investigations, generates reports, serves/posts
violations, conducts public presentations, and provides exceptional
customer service.
Essential Duties
- Conducts technical examinations of plans for commercial and
fire codes and national standards.
- Understands the interdependence of building, fire, and life safety
environment.
- Provides written and verbal communication to developers, planners,

- Completes plan reviews and inspections with accurate and technical
facilities, fire protection systems, and industrial processes.
- Issues applicable fire code permits in accordance with adopted codes
projects, special events, existing buildings, and various other
sites within the city.
- Issues order notices accurately and in accordance with adopted codes
- Represents the City and Fire Department in various meetings and
- Creates and presents fire and life safety messages to the public

- Performs field inspections of fire protection systems across all

- Uses appropriate tools, equipment, and apparatus for conducting
