The City of Portage is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual for the part-time afternoon position of Program Registrar at the Portage Zhang Senior Center. If you are passionate about supporting the team behind the scenes with outstanding customer service, exceptionally accurate data entry, report generation, and records maintenance, then this is your opportunity to make an impact.
What You'll Do:
- Using excellent customer service skills, establishes and maintains effective working relationships with Center members, employees, class instructors, officials, and members of the general public.
- Use MySeniorCenter to process incoming programs and travel registrations, process financial transactions, and provide appropriate documentation to participants.
- Maintain physical and computerized records, including membership forms, liability waivers, travel rosters, and program rosters. Provide appropriate records to instructors and staff as needed.
- Monitor and maintain the integrity of the database, including checking for completeness and accuracy of information, eliminating duplication, etc.
- Enter course participant information into national databases as requested by program staff.
- Provide support to receptionists and administrative assistants by assisting with Reception Desk coverage as needed.
- Prepare monthly membership renewal mailing.
- Enter and maintain fitness reimbursement submissions.
What We're Looking For:
- High school diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Proficient use of a PC and Microsoft Office. Specifically, effectively able to use Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Can learn new computer programs quickly.
- Has the ability to develop and maintain a positive and professional working relationship with customers, staff, volunteers, and instructors.
