Performs responsible technical work involving application development, software implementation and support, radio communications, troubleshooting, and end-user training. Develops, documents, implements, and maintains application software systems across multiple computer platforms, including Intel-based Windows servers and workstations. Serves as a lead analyst for assigned third-party, mission-critical application systems and works closely with software vendors, department leadership, and internal stakeholders to identify technology needs, support organizational growth, improve operational efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Develops and maintains applications in PHP source and SQL database.
- Programs, documents, implements, maintains, and supports application software systems across a variety of computer platforms, including Intel-based Windows servers and workstations.
- Serves as the lead analyst for assigned third-party application software systems.
- Works closely with third-party software vendors to maintain, troubleshoot, and support mission-critical systems.
- Troubleshoots application, software, system, and end-user technical issues and provides appropriate resolutions.
- Supports digital handheld and mobile radio communication systems.
- Develops training materials and conducts training sessions for users of mission-critical systems.
- Provides technical guidance and support to end users to promote effective use of applications and technology resources.
- Meets with Department Heads to understand departmental growth, operational needs, strategic vision, and future technology requirements.
- Interviews and collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify business requirements, technology needs, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Identifies and implements application-based solutions that reduce costs, streamline processes, and increase operational efficiency.
- Coordinates software implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and related activities with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Prepares and provides written and oral reports to management regarding projects, system activities, issues, and accomplishments.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A comparable combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Experience
- Eight (8) years of experience in programming, application software development, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience working with a variety of automated systems and technologies, including:
- PHP
- Windows Server and Windows Workstations
- Web application development
- SQL
- Microsoft Office Suite
- A comparable combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Licenses and Certifications
- Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License.

Work Days/Hours: Monday - Thursday; 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
