Job Summary
Performs cash register and reconciliation of cash register duties at the Zoo Idaho Entrance and gift shop. Responsible for greeting customers and admitting patrons. Interacts with the public on a constant basis requiring excellent customer service skills.
The Zoo Worker provides customer service, program instruction, education, and guidance to various patrons. This position requires applicants to be 16 years of age or older.
Facility operates 7 days a week throughout the summer and candidate must be willing to work some Sundays.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this classification, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces. The job requires hand/finger dexterity to handle materials, manipulate tools, and reach with hands and arms. The job requires operation of job-related equipment and driving a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Sufficient visual acuity and hearing capacity to perform the essential functions and interact with the public is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
