If you enjoy working in parks and want to be part of a passionate team, join us as a Park Planning Supervisor!The Park Planning Supervisor is responsible for developing and conducting projects related to the planning and implementation of Plano’s Parks, Recreation, Trails, and Open Space Master Plan. The position implements and oversees projects within the Parks and Recreation Capital Investment Program, and supervises a team that focuses on urban forestry, trails construction, and GIS data management.
Plano Parks and Recreation earned the NRPA National Gold Medal Award in 2023, marking the Department’s fifth national honor. The Department has been CAPRA accredited since 1994 and is ranked number one in Texas by the Trust for Public Land, reflecting its long-standing commitment to excellence in parks and recreation services.
We encourage and cover the cost of certificate programs to promote employee knowledge and professional development.Employees are also given the opportunity to attend conferences that relate to the job for training and learning opportunities.
