Rate And Compensation
The successful candidate may be offered a position in either the Electrical Inspector or the Senior Electrical Inspector classification.
The target hourly rate for the Electrical Inspector is between $25.21 - $31.51; depending on qualifications
The target hourly rate for the Senior Electrical Inspector is between $27.79 - $34.74; depending on qualifications
Job Details
The City is seeking a skilled Electrical Inspector or Senior Electrical Inspector to help ensure safe, code-compliant construction and property maintenance across the community. This role performs field inspections of new and existing structures, follows up on violations, and provides clear guidance on electrical code interpretation to contractors and property owners. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate digital inspection records, reviewing plans and specifications for compliance with City-approved standards, and conducting plan reviews to identify code or zoning issues. At the senior level, the position also provides training, mentorship, and day-to-day work leadership to inspection staff while supporting supervisory functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, and committed to upholding high standards of safety and service.
