The City of Piqua is accepting application for a Relief Operator in our Water Department. Candidate will perform tests on water samples and makes adjustments to chemical feed rates based on test results; monitors computerized system and makes adjustments for clear-well level, high service pressure and flow, raw water flow, elevated tank levels, and sludge basin level; checks chemical feeders for operation, supply, and feed rate; back washes sand filters; enters data into computer for reports; receives and handles customer complaints and reported problems and notifies appropriate personnel of issues; performs other duties as required.
The hours for this position are Mon - Fri 7 am to 3 pm with alternation relief shifts every other week. Alternate shifts are 11pm-7am or 3pm-11pm Monday through Sunday. An additional $2.00/hr is paid when working an alternate shift.

Qualifications
Upon completion of Basic Water Class (provided on location) through OTCO, the applicant will be given 3 years to possess Certification for Chemical Analysis and Water Plant Operator I through the OEPA. City training is paid for.
