Salesforce Developer (Information Technology Analyst/Programmer III) - Planning & Development Job ID59956 Location Professional & Supervisory Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular ABOUT THIS POSITION The Planning & Development Department guides the physical development of the City by preserving our historic sites, planning where they can be built, and ensuring safe construction of buildings and infrastructure. A host of advisory and governing bodies of residents as well as elected officials provide oversight as the City grows and needs arise. The process is governed through development and enforcement of City codes and ordinances. The Salesforce Developer (IT Analyst/Programmer III) has a key role within the Planning and Development Department (PDD) with the responsibility of working with the technical and functional teams to support PDD business applications. This Salesforce Developer position is responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining customized solutions within the Salesforce platform aligning with the organization's goals and expectations; coordinate and perform the most advanced systems and analysis/assignments, and act as application specific lead in the enhancement and/or maintenance of computer applications. This position involves one or more applications utilizing different database concepts and high-level computer programming languages including Salesforce, MS SQL Server, Azure and Web Development. This position also provides production support by analyzing, programming, testing, and deploying solutions to complex production problems as well as correcting data in critical situations. IDEAL CANDIDATE Working knowledge in Salesforce platforms, applications, and tools. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options focused on implementing solutions. Ability to analyze data and use data base tools to support data integrity. Ability to learn new software and keep up-to-date Salesforce releases. Ability to work with business users to translate requirements into technical design and solutions. Ability to work in a team environment with a strong focus on customer service and solution ownership with good communication skills. SALARY Pay Range: $82,451.20 to $121,825.60 annually. Hiring Range: $82,451.20 to $110,510.40 annually. Pay Range Explanation: Pay range is the entire compensation range for the position classification. Hiring range is an estimate of where you can receive an offer. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, training, and internal equity. Internal Only: Please understand that this is pay grade 064. If selected, your salary offer will be based on the applicable promotion or demotion worksheet in accordance with the City Pay Ordinance. Promotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade increase. Demotions occur when the last two digits of the pay grade decrease. Lateral transfers occur when there is no change to the last two digits of the pay grade. When there is a change in the first digit of the pay grade, there may also be a change to your classification or unit. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business administration, mathematics, or related field. Other combinations of experience and education, which meet the minimum requirements, may be substituted. All finalists for positions are subject to a criminal background check applicable to the department or position. Some positions require the use of personal or City vehicles on City business. Individuals must be physically capable of operating the vehicles safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. Use of a personal vehicle for City business will be prohibited if the employee is not authorized to drive a City vehicle or if the employee does not have personal insurance coverage. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS The minimum qualifications listed above, plus: Two years of Salesforce development experience, including hands-on experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and building intuitive user interfaces within the Salesforce platform. Two years of experience in Salesforce's security and sharing models. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Copado and Flosum. Two years of experience with Salesforce Data loader. Experience solving problems, reorganizing, and assimilating information. Experience with Salesforce integrations using SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) /REST (Representational State Transfer) API. Experience supporting an Enterprise business application.
