The City of Philomath has an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of community planning! We are seeking a full time Associate Planner to join the Administration & Planning Department.
What we are looking for: Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, public administration, civil engineering, or a related field and a minimum of two years’ experience in the planning profession. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Ideal candidates will have working knowledge of Oregon land use and experience reviewing planning applications. We are looking for an independent person who has strong writing skills and great attention to detail. You’ll work directly with the City Manager who serves as the Planning Official, and a part-time planning & permit assistant.

Salary for the position ranges from $63,745 - $85,425 per year depending on education and experience. Cost of living adjustment of 3.5% will be applied on July 1, 2024.
