Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Completion of FEMA ICS Courses 100, 200, 700, and 800 required.
- Completion of ICS 300 and 400 preferred or required within six (6) months of employment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities and/or grounds maintenance, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, general construction, landscaping, and irrigation systems.
- Knowledge of applicable building and environmental codes and regulations (OSHA, ADA, fire safety, building codes, EPA standards, etc.).
- Proficiency with facility management software, work order systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to respond to emergencies involving buildings or grounds during off-hours.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Must hold a valid Texas Class “C” Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record.
