General Description: The purpose of this class within the organization is to direct and implement programs in the City community centers. Essential Functions: Supervises recreation aides and volunteer, and attends staff meetings and training sessions. Implements policies and procedures. Creates and maintains a safe environment for participants. Conducts and attends staff meetings and training sessions. Prepares records and reports. Notifies stakeholders of upcoming events, activities, schedules and registration requirements. Manages individual and group recreation programs. Maintains and keeps records of participants on a daily basis. Oversees daily operations of recreation facilities. Monitors spectators and participants at sports events. Additional Duties: Assists and guides participants (children) to academic success. Monitors issues and keeps track of supplies. Assists and supports City special events.
