The Perryville Police Department is accepting applications for employment for the position of Police Officer. Police Officer is responsible for ensuring public safety and enforcement of laws and city ordinances. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Class B or above Missouri POST certification
- Satisfactory driving record and hold a valid Missouri Driver's License
- Have no pending or prior felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions related to domestic violence
- Free of any piercings or visible tattoos on the head, neck, or hands

The starting salary for this position is $53,337 with an increase to $55,470 after successfully completing the probationary period. Depending on qualifications, previous law enforcement experience may constitute a higher starting salary. This position is open to the public as well as current city employees.
