The Perryville Police Department is accepting applications for employment for the position of Code Enforcement Officer. This position is responsible for the administration and enforcement of the City of Perryville’s Code of Ordinances Chapter 8.20 – Nuisances and other municipal codes, as well as, providing operational support to the Police Patrol division as needed. This position works eight-hour shifts Monday – Friday, with the exception of special events or extra coverage as necessary. Position requirements include, but are not limited to:
· Applicants must be at least 21 years of age
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Class B or above Missouri POST certification
· Satisfactory driving record and hold a valid Missouri Driver's License
· Have no pending or prior felony convictions or misdemeanor convictions related to domestic violence
· Free of any piercings or visible tattoos on the head, neck, or hands

The starting annual salary for this position is $58,716 with an increase to $61,065 after successfully completing the probationary period. Depending on qualifications, previous law enforcement experience may constitute a higher starting salary. This position is open to the public as well as current city employees.
