Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three years’ related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from Crew Supervisor.
- Cuts and trims trees, grass and weeds on right-of-ways.
- Removes litter from City streets and medians.
- Repairs streets and sidewalks with asphalt, cold patching materials, and concrete.
- Removes and replaces damaged traffic signs.
- Operates lawn equipment.
- Responds to animal control calls and is responsible for catching pets and wildlife.
- Replaces worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment.
- Assists with City holiday decoration set up and take down.
- Assists with demolitions and carpentry as needed.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others.
