The fourth level of the Facilities Services Series is responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, equipment, machinery and grounds in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals, manufacturer's specifications and departmental procedures. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES WHAT YOU'LL DO:
This position is the fourth level of the Facilities Services Series is responsible for maintaining and repairing buildings, equipment, machinery and grounds in accordance with diagrams, operational manuals, manufacturer's specifications and departmental procedures.
Specifically as a Facilites Specialist - Carpenter you will ...
1. Performs inspection, testing, installing, troubleshooting, and repair of applicable building structures and/or systems, which may include electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and/or other applicable items.
2. Performs preventative maintenance activities in assigned area of responsibility to ensure efficient and effective operations. Monitors, checks, and performs preventive maintenance activities to applicable fixtures, equipment, and/or associated systems to ensure continued and uninterrupted operation.
3. Monitors and maintains materials, supplies, equipment, and/or other applicable inventory items in assigned area of responsibility; initiates the procurement of replacement items.
4. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(Depending on projects and weather, scheduling will occasionally include evenings, weekends, and on-call.)
