- Knowledge of the hazards and safety [recautions associated with the assigned tools and equipment.
- Ability to operate assigned equipment.
- Ability to understand and measure base distances.
- Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
- Ability to push a lawn mower from 75 to 100% of the work day.
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds frequently, use up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally, and use seventy-five (75) pounds of force frequently to move objects.
- Mows, trims, reseeds, landscapes, and cleans public park grounds, facilities, and City rights of way.
- Mows grass and removes weeds, downed trees, limbs, branches, and debris from parks and abandoned private properties.
- Picks up trash and litter and empties trash barrels.
- Marks and drags ball fields.
- Cleans restroom facilities.
- Performs other duties as assigned or as the situation dictates within the scope of this classification.
