Under the direction of the Director of Parks & Recreation, responsible for administrative, managerial, and supervisory work of a difficult and responsible nature. Position requires planning, organizing, administering, maintaining, and overseeing comprehensive municipal recreation programs, public parks, public landscaping, urban forestry, municipal buildings, and athletic facilities.
- Plans, organizes, implements, and oversees the maintenance and upkeep of the City’s public parks system, public landscaping, urban forestry, municipal buildings, and athletic facilities.
- Directs subordinate employees and contractors in the implementation of all activities relating to the construction, renovation, upkeep, maintenance, and repair of City parks, buildings, landscaping, and athletic facilities.
- Project Manager for capital projects related to parks, athletic facilities, and other city facilities including, buildings, landscaping, turf management and equipment/vehicle purchases.
- Conducts project research for program revisions, budget preparation, cost
Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Leisure Services, Park Planning, Landscape Architecture, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in Parks Administration, with at least two (2) years of management and/or supervisory experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $86,712.40 - $133,515.20 per year
