Essential Duties and Responsibilities: |

Installs, maintains, services, and repairs street signs, roadways, perking meters, boardwalk, beach walkways, parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, buildings, structures, sidewalks storm drains. Operates, checks, services, and makes minor repairs to trucks, tractors, loaders, compressors, mowers, trimmers, chain saws, and other construction/maintenance/service power equipment. Will be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the department. |
Requirements: |
Experience: One (1) year of experience in the construction/maintenance/service/repair of public infrastructure or similar construction maintenance work License New Jersey CDL Class B license (or be able to acquire within six months of hire) New Jersey CDL Class A License a plus Tanker endorsement a plus |
Special Requirements: |
Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform duties of the position Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral/written direction Ability to learn quickly from oral/written directions and from demonstrations Ability to work and interact safely, courteously, and harmoniously with coworkers as well as the public |
