What are the responsibilities and job description for the CRA Specialist - Growth Management position at City of Ocala?
Responsible for intake of Community Redevelopment Area (CRA) Grants and applications. Process of payments and input information into Central Square and Civic Serve to manage CRA projects and grants. Process permits for special events and coordinate with other departments when needed.
1. Works cooperatively with management on planning initiatives and strategies related to the Growth Management Department as a whole.2. Perform intake of applications for CRA's and coordinates with other City departments in required permitting processes for events and projects. Be well versed in standard operating procedures for road and sidewalk closures and understand the building/development process to ensure that any and all permits are being acquired as necessary.
3. Prepares charts, graphs, diagrams, maps, and written reports. This duty is performed daily.
4. Oversees preparation of agendas, packets, and minutes for the CRA advisory committees. This duty is performed weekly.
5. Conducts background research, surveys and interviews on neighborhood issues and prepares related reports. This duty is performed as needed.
6. Performs short-term and long-term special research projects for staff and the public. This duty is performed monthly.
7. Attends evening and weekend meetings as necessary.
8. Prepares visual aids or other special materials for presentations. This duty is performed as needed.
9. Attends technical meetings within the state to increase knowledge of major program areas. This duty is performed as needed.

High school diploma or GED required with four years' experience in administrative duties including three years in customer service.
Must have three years of experience working with land use development regulations. An equivalent combination of training, education and experience may be considered.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Current certification in adult, child and infant CPR (or obtained within six months of hire)
Current First Aid certification (or obtained within six months of hire).
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Florida CDL Class “B” Driver’s License with Airbrake Certification & Passenger Endorsement preferredANALYTICAL ABILITY / PROBLEM SOLVING MODERATELY STRUCTURED.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
