The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a full time Utility Supervisor. Our Utility Supervisors earn competitive hourly rates from $35.49 to $ 53.23 (top of grade) with an expected starting salary of $35.49.

As part of our Water and Sewer Division, you will be responsible for supervising and participating in the work of personnel responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of the City's water systems. Generally, your schedule will be daytime hours Monday through Friday, but overtime hours may be required occasionally.
Other duties and responsibilities include:
- Participating in and supervising others in the repair and maintenance of the City's utility systems and related infrastructure
- Anticipating, planning and coordinating material, equipment and resource needs for Utility Crew operations, including assisting with snow removal operations
- Developing, implementing and monitoring inspection and maintenance programs to ensure proper operation and upkeep of the City's utility systems
- Collaborating with other Utility Supervisors, serving as a back up as needed
- Acting as a point of contact for residents, addressing questions and concerns as it relates to Utility Crew activities
- Responding to emergency situations, including assisting other city crews
We're looking for someone who is knowledgeable in the maintenance and repair of water distribution and collection systems, including water mains. This person should be train, assign, direct and supervisor the work of assigned personnel.

Requirements include:
- Knowledge of the maintenance and repair of utility systems.
- Knowledge of the operation and preventative maintenance of a variety of equipment.
- 1-3 years experience in the supervision of personnel
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift objects, climb ladders, use tools and equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
- The ability to perform work in an environment where temperatures can vary based on weather conditions.
