NOTE: This is a part-time position
Salary range: $30-35 per hour

Pianist/Accompanist for Norwalk Community Chorale.
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
Applicant will need to:
- Play for rehearsals each week and be available for special rehearsals as needed throughout the season (ie, Dress Rehearsals)
- Play for Concerts typically on Saturday evenings (December and June); Norwalk Tree Lighting Ceremony (December), and be available for other special events
- Be willing to rehearse with soloist(s) at the end of regularly scheduled rehearsals
- Practice the music in preparation for each rehearsal
- Have general flexibility and adaptability
- Have a positive attitude that will help foster a good relationship with the music director and fellow chorale members.
SKILL EXPECTATIONS
Applicant Must Be
- Technically competent on the keyboard instrument
- Knowledgeable of both the accompaniment and choral parts
- Able to play all combinations of vocal parts together
- Knowledgeable of the performance practices in all the styles relevant to the repertoire being rehearsed/performed
- Able to sight-read
- Chorale accompanying experience
- Ability to transpose at a medium level
- Ability to create musical transitions and arrangements
- Computer-literate in musical notation software
- Have a good sense of humor.
