What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Service Worker position at City of North Richland Hills, Texas?
The purpose of this position is to provide customer service and technical support to the City鈥檚 internal and external utility services customers. This is accomplished by completing installations and disconnecting utility services as requested; inspecting, repairing, replacing, and/or installing water meters; and investigating and solving customer complaints regarding readings or service. Additional responsibilities include accurately reading and recording customer water consumption, performing maintenance on meter equipment, reprogramming and testing meters and meter equipment as necessary, and providing meter reading data to departments for billing purposes. Other duties consist of delivering notices to customers when necessary, completing work orders, providing information to customers during field activities, completing daily activity reports, handling other projects as assigned, and interacting with other departments and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
