MGT Impact Solutions is accepting resumes from qualified candidates for a minimum 8-month temporary position of Clerk II/Clerical/Technical for the City of North Chicago, Illinois. Selected candidate will be an employee of MGT with services contracted to the city. This position is expected to start in September 2025 with an anticipated contract term of 8 months. The schedule will be 3-5 days per week.
NATURE OF WORK
Under the direction of the Director of Economic & Community Development, this position performs routine clerical work, assist department staff where directed, types reports, purchase requisitions, correspondence, greets the public, answers and takes telephone messages.
SUPERVISION: Under the general direction of the Economic & Community Development Director, work is performed independently within general guidelines. Work is evaluated by the Department Director, through reports, weekly meetings, verbal and written communications and annual evaluations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
− Type simple correspondence, records, reports, charts, stencils, etc.
− Maintaining files and records of department's work activities
− Answer and take telephone messages in a polite and respectful manner
− Provides a variety of general information to the public
Economic and Community Development department
− Prepares monthly reports on work activities
− Keeps an accurate file of all incoming and outgoing correspondence
− Follow written and oral instructions
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF WORK
− Requires High School Diploma or GED
− Requires ability to operate data entry devices to record source material into a computer
− Requires ability to type at least 40 - 50 wpm− Requires ability to operate various types of office equipment
− Strong computer skills, including the ability to utilize typical office software and equipment for word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations (Microsoft Office), networked files, ability to use internet for research, access to databases and related information
