Recreational Aide

Niagara Falls. City of Niagara Falls. Recreation Aides 1 and 2. $16/hour. Seasonal.

General Statement of Duties: Attends to the public in City recreational activities; does related

work as required.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This work is seasonal and consists primarily of those

participating in recreational activities at the City pools and splash pads.

April 9th 10AM - 1PM

LaSalle Branch Library

Auditorium, 2nd Floor

Recreation Aide 1

• Sign patrons in and out of the City pools, ensuring only so many are let in at a time
• Maintain crowd control at pools and splash pads
• Basic first aid/bee stings
• Make sure pools and splash pads are safe for the public
• Conflict Resolution
  
  

Recreation Aide 2

• Same as above, but the strongest Rec Aide 1 is chosen to be a Leader at each site
  
  

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGEDS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Good knowledge of basic safety, ability to get along well with others, especially with children and hard to deal with patrons, good intelligence, strong judgment, some knowledge of first aid methods, reliable, physical endurance, good physical condition
