Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse set of mechanical and landscaping skills, ensuring that our facilities and grounds are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, including both indoor and outdoor responsibilities.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure optimal functionality.
- Conduct lawn care activities including mowing, trimming, and fertilization.
- Manage landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, watering, and general gardening.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various maintenance projects.
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators for landscaping and construction tasks.
- Implement irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Assist with snow plowing during winter months to maintain safe access to facilities.
- Carry out tree care activities including trimming, pruning, and removal as necessary.
- Collaborate with team members on hardscape projects such as patios or walkways.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks performed.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in general maintenance tasks.
- Familiarity with lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, and gardening practices.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery (excavator).
- Strong understanding of irrigation systems and their maintenance.
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy objects and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of snow plowing techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
