KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide comprehensive technical support for computer hardware, peripherals, and software applications used by Council staff.
- Deliver on-site and remote technical support at Council Member offices and special events throughout the five boroughs of New York City.
- Work a five-day schedule that may include Saturdays and/or Sundays, based on operational needs.
- Diagnose, analyze, and resolve end-user hardware and software issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Implement end-to-end solutions to restore system functionality and minimize service disruptions.
- Provide responsive and professional technical assistance to both internal and external users.
- Follow established Information Technology policies, procedures, problem-management protocols, and documentation standards.
- Support users across multiple office locations and remote environments.
- Demonstrate a structured, analytical, and disciplined approach to troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New York State driver's license.
- Three to five years of experience in a Help Desk or technical support role.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 11, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), and Windows Active Directory.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN troubleshooting, DNS, DHCP, VOIP systems, Citrix environments, Wi-Fi, printers, and mobile device support.
- Experience supporting macOS environments is a plus.
