About the Job:
The Accountant performs complex accounting and budgeting functions, including financial analysis, problem resolution, and reconciliation. Responsibilities include coordinating and reviewing grants, preparing journal entries, fund financial statements, and related accounting reports, and contributing to less complex notes for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR). The role also supports budgeting, fixed assets, project costing, business planning, forecasting, and feasibility analyses.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; five (5) years of previous experience and /or training in governmental accounting functions; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) preferred.
