Supervisory responsibilities of position: Senior Van Drivers, Program Instructors
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Organize programs and activities for seniors & disabled adults
- Maintain a welcoming and festive facility
- Organize various health clinics and seminars such as blood pressure screening, diabetes testing, exercise programs, foot clinics, etc.
- Collaborate with county to provide information and education on Health and Human Service programs
- Supervise dispatch and scheduling of the Senior Transit Service
- Enforce Federal and State regulations applying to protected class
- Manage client list and contact information for the Senior Transit Service
- Solicit and schedule volunteers for programs and Senior Transit Dispatch
- Prepare and distribute marketing material for programs and special events
- Communicate and report transit and program logs to supervisor
- Represent the City on various municipal or county committees
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review and respond to mail, electronic communications, phone calls, and public inquiries
- Prepare policies, documents, reports and correspondence for the Department
- Attend required meetings and training
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Qualifications, Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Expected:
- Skill in record keeping, handling money and document organization
- Computer skills; Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to learn website editing, computer registration formatting and social media marketing
- Operate two-way radio
- Operate office equipment such as copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc
- Ability to occasionally operate a 12 passenger bus
- Knowledge in program planning and implementation
- Recognize trends in senior recreation planning
- Provide exceptional communication skills
- Ability to supervise employees
- Ability to establish and maintain satisfactory working relationships with co-workers, City employees and the general public
Requirements:
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications
- Ability to obtain Passenger Service and Safety certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with no restrictions
