What are the responsibilities and job description for the License Bureau Clerk Part-Time position at City of New Brighton (MN)?
Performs intermediate work performing accurate and efficient data entry while processing a wide variety of state motor vehicle, driver's license, DNR, and Game and Fish transactions for customers and the City vehicle fleet. Performs accounting for all inventories of stickers, license plates and forms; balancing daily reports and deposits and ensuring that all transactions are compliant with applicable State and City policies and procedures.
The license bureau is open from Monday - Friday 8 am to 5pm, and Saturdays 9am - 1pmThe expected start date for this position is on October 5, 2026. Required work hours will be the closing shift until 5:30pm M-F and Saturday hours are required from 9am-1:30pm.
- Assists the public in completion of driver, motor vehicle, DNR and game and fish transactions.
- Processes motor vehicle transaction for our local dealers and businesses on a strict 24 hour deadline.
- Completes end-of-day balancing to ensure accurate accounting between the state systems and local POS system.
- Attends ongoing MNDRIVE trainings monthly to remain up to date on State policies and procedures including training staff members on changes to policies.
- Maintains inventory of state issued plates and stickers, and retention following State and local requirements monthly.
- Attends City-developed committee meetings and assist daily with the City-developed Chat line.
High School Diploma or GED with moderate work-related experience.
