Duties

- Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
- Engage in proactive patrol to deter criminal activity and enhance public safety
- Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations.
- Enforce traffic laws and regulations, issuing citations when necessary.
- Engage with community members to address concerns and promote safety initiatives.
- Manage conflict situations effectively, utilizing conflict management skills.
- Provide first aid and CPR when required in emergency situations.
- Handle animals safely and humanely when responding to animal-related incidents.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as needed for investigations or operations.
- Foster positive relationships with residents and business owners
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Georgia P.O.S.T Peace Officer Certification.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in criminal investigation techniques is preferred.
- Valid Georgia Driver's License with satisfactory driving record
- Must successfully pass a background check, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- No felony or domestic violence convictions
- A commitment to community service and public safety is essential.
