The City of Nacogdoches Police Department is seeking a Certified Police Officer for the Patrol Division. We are looking for individuals ready to protect and serve the community of Nacogdoches.
What You'll Do:
Perform law enforcement duties, including patrolling assigned areas in a police car, on a bicycle or on foot. Responsibilities include responding to calls for assistance, investigating criminal offenses, apprehending criminals, collecting and preserving evidence, preparing reports and directing traffic. You will also develop and maintain a working rapport with citizens and community leaders.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
- Basic Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Peace Officer certification required. (TCOLE Intermediate, Advanced or Master certificate adds an additional certificate pay up to $200.00 per month)
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age at the time of the test.
Testing Requirements:
All entry-level applicants must successfully complete and pass a standard written examination and the Nacogdoches Police Department physical agility test.
