The City of Moreno Valley is now hiring for one (1) Senior Management Analyst in the Parks & Community Services Department.


The deadline for the first review of applications is 5:00PM, Monday, June 2, 2025.

A 2% base salary increase is scheduled to become effective with the first full pay period that begins after July 1, 2025.
This recruitment will establish an eligibility list which may be used to fill future vacancies City-wide.

THE POSITION
The City of Moreno Valley is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill a Senior Management Analyst vacancy in the Parks & Community Services Department, Administration & Financial Services Division. 

This position will assist with oversight of the Administration Section, Grants Operations, the Department budget, the Capital Improvement Project (CIP) program, Library Operations and will provide fiscal and programmatic oversight of grant funded programs and projects, the after-school expanded learning program (21stCCLC), and the year-round licensed childcare program (A Child’s Place).

Your responsibilities will include complex and responsible administrative, financial, statistical and other management analyses in support of City and departmental activities, functions and programs and provide sound professional recommendations for action and significant assistance in formulating policy, procedure and legislative positions.

This individual is highly organized, detail-oriented, and skilled in managing multifaceted programs that support the community, including library operations, after-school programs, and licensed childcare services. They thrive in a dynamic environment, balancing fiscal responsibility with innovative program development to enhance community engagement. With exceptional communication and leadership abilities, they collaborate effectively across departments and stakeholder groups to drive initiatives forward. Their expertise in navigating legislative procedures, optimizing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements positions them as a valuable asset in shaping the future of Moreno Valley’s parks and community services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in finance or a closely related field; OR, equivalent related work experience; AND
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience performing administrative, operations, budgetary and similar analyses.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

Senior Management Analysts perform complex and responsible analyses and studies on a wide range of management, administrative, financial, facilities and other organization issues in support of the planning and execution of City-wide or department goals and objectives. Incumbents are expected to define and apply appropriate study methodologies and utilize sound analytical tools and techniques to achieve sound, reliable, fact-based conclusions and recommendations. Assignments are generally given in terms of expected objectives to be accomplished and work is evaluated on the basis of results achieved.
