Intern with Moreno Valley Electric UtilityTHE POSITIONThe Electric Utility Intern plays a supportive role in Moreno Valley Utility's engineering and operations, contributing to the development of engineering plans for distribution system improvement projects.
This entry-level internship involves assisting with engineering studies and engineering design such as drafting, performing calculations and power quality studies, mapping, and designing electrical systems such as electric vehicle charging stations, energy storage systems, and distribution system improvements under supervision.
The intern helps uphold MVU's operational standards and ensures alignment with city policies and regulatory requirements.Success in this role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn systems and enterprise software in a dynamic utility environment.

The candidate excels in fast-paced environments and is dedicated to learning and contributing to MVU's mission of delivering reliable and transparent service, as well as innovative and efficient design.
They demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to public service. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills, and abilities outlined above is graduation from graduation from high school or G.E.D.
