What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRO SHOP ATTENDANT - PART TIME position at City of Monroe, NC?
Performs intermediate clerical work involving the collection of fees and general maintenance and operation of pro shop; does related work as required. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Head Golf Professional.
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects; work requires fingering, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data; the worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
Assisting golfers; collecting and accounting for fees and charges; preparing and maintaining records and files. Collects greens fees and cart fees, maintains records and files; Records each player on sign-up sheet, totals and verifies fees collected; Receives, receipts and accounts for fees received; Prepares scoring sheets, creates signs and prepares computer records, assists with handicapping; Assists with developing working schedules and arranging tournaments; Cleans pro-shop, side rooms and rest rooms; performs general custodial work when assigned; Opens and closes shop; Answers telephone and responds to questions; Performs related tasks as required.
General knowledge of the operation of a golf shop; ability to understand and follow oral and written directions; ability to perform record keeping and mathematical calculations; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates and the general public; ability to work unusual hours during the golfing season.
Education And Experience
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school.
Special Requirements
Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the State of North Carolina.
