Job Overview
The Mission Market is a signature community event drawing visitors who are looking for a hometown space to gather with friends and family, to enjoy the summer season, and to purchase high quality homegrown and homemade items. The Market Attendants help to make the market safe, fun, and successful each week.
Market Days: Thursdays from June - August
Shift hours: 3:30pm-8:30pm each Thursday June - August
Responsibilities
- Arrive promptly. Begin set-up
- Greet and assist vendors, checking with them regularly
- Be familiar with vendor products
- Greet musicians and any other featured guests and assist with set-up
- Process customer transactions using both credit card and cash
- Collect payment from vendors
- Promote the market, take photos and share on social media
- Work to return chairs, tents, umbrellas, signage to market shed at the end of each market day
- Be a welcoming, friendly face that helps visitors and vendors feel glad they came
Qualifications
- Must be willing to work in rain or shine or extreme heat
- Must be able to do regular lifting, exerting 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout market the market site throughout the shift.
- Must be at least 18-years of age and older

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
