What are the responsibilities and job description for the Winter Solstice Celebration Volunteer position at City of Milwaukie?

The Winter Solstice Celebration provides one of the finest opportunities to see the combined Christmas Ships fleet anywhere on the Willamette. Music, treats, a beer garden courtesy of Beer Store Milwaukie, and lots of fire all help to make this a beloved seasonal spectacle. Volunteers are needed to help set up the event, staff the shuttle stops, and assist with cleanup. Come join us!

Winter Solstice Celebration
December 20, 2025
Three volunteer shifts:
12:00 - 4:30 PM (5 people)
4:00 - 7:00 PM (6 people)
6:30 - 8:30 PM (5 people)Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide a helpful, professional presence at the event
  • Assist with event setup and cleanup
  • Perfrom regular litter patrols during the event
