Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn by doing and takes pride in supporting the Mill Valley community, the Public Works Department, and the Sewerage Agency of Southern Marin teams. The successful candidate is reliable, safety conscious, and brings a positive, can do attitude to a variety of tasks, from maintaining parks and streets to supporting essential wastewater operations.

An interest in public works, wastewater systems, maintenance, or hands on outdoor work is a plus. You do not need extensive experience, just a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to work well on a team. Those interested in mechanical systems or environmental protection will gain valuable, real world exposure through this role.

If you enjoy working outdoors, using tools and equipment, and building practical skills while making a visible impact in the community, this is a great opportunity.

Must be 18 years or older to apply.

Benefits

This temporary role (up to 180 days) is unrepresented and unbenefited. Rehire is not permitted until 180 days after separation. That said, it’s a great way to get your foot in the door, gain valuable experience, and work alongside a dedicated team you may want to join full time if/when future opportunities arise.
