The City of Midwest City is currently accepting applications for Lab Technician I or II in the Water department. The Lab Technician I or II incumbent performs chemical and bacteriological analyses in water treatment processes. To qualify as a Lab Technician I, high school graduate or GED with a Class "C" laboratory certification in appropriate field from the Oklahoma State Department of Environmental Quality is required. Employee must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable. To qualify as a Lab Technician II, high school graduate or GED with a Class "B" laboratory certification in appropriate field from the Oklahoma state Department of Environmental Quality is required. Employee must possess a valid Oklahoma driver license and be insurable. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
