What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Services Service Attendant-First shift position at City of Mesquite?
Salary: $15.00/hr. minimum - $16.63/hr. mid point (Depending on qualifications)
General supervision is provided by the Equipment Services Supervisor.
WORK SCHEDULE
To perform basic service and maintenance work in the upkeep of City vehicles and equipment; to inspect vehicles and ensure compliance with state standards; and to perform cleaning and minor maintenance within the Service Center.

SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Equipment Services Supervisor.
- All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual.
- Perform routine maintenance work on City vehicles; change or replace vehicle oil and hydraulic systems, batteries, oil filters, air filters, brakes, tires and belts; inspect all fluid levels, check radiator and hoses for leaks.
- Inspect City vehicles and assure compliance with state codes and regulations.
- Keep records of work performed, identification numbers and supplies used.
- Maintain the cleanliness and perform minor repairs in the Service Center.
- Input all work orders into the shop computer.
EDUCATION
Formal or informal education and training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
EXPERIENCE
Six months of experience performing routine maintenance on vehicles.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATES
Possession of a valid driver's license.
WORK SCHEDULE
FIRST SHIFT: MON-FRI, 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.
