Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Mesquite, NV, for a Deputy Fire Rescue Chief. The Deputy Fire Rescue Chief will be responsible for assisting the Fire Chief with overseeing fire rescue operations, managing departmental staff, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role involves developing and implementing fire safety programs, conducting training sessions, and coordinating emergency response efforts. Additionally, the Deputy Fire Rescue Chief will collaborate with other city departments to ensure comprehensive emergency preparedness and response.
Qualifications
- Experience in fire rescue operations and emergency response management
- Skills in developing and implementing fire safety programs
- Ability to manage departmental staff and conduct training sessions
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- A bachelor's degree in Fire Science, Emergency Management, or a related field is preferred
- IFSAC Fire Officer II Certification, and current licensure as an EMT-Paramedic with Primary Instructor endorsement.
- Experience in a municipal fire department is beneficial
