Do you enjoy working with youth and being part of the excitement of community sports? We are seeking a motivated and dependable Youth Baseball & Softball League Supervisor to help oversee our youth sports program and ensure a fun, safe, and organized experience for players, coaches, and families.
Position Overview
The League Supervisor will oversee youth baseball and softball games and assist with the daily operations of the league. This role plays a key part in creating a positive environment where young athletes can learn, compete, and enjoy the game.
Responsibilities

Supervise youth baseball and softball games and league activities

Serve as the on-site contact for coaches, parents, and participants

Ensure games are played according to league rules and safety standards

Assist with scheduling, field setup, and equipment management

Help resolve issues or conflicts in a professional manner

Monitor sportsmanship and promote a positive environment for all players
- Responds to public inquiries, investigates and resolves complaints or consults with the Athletic Coordinator to determine appropriate action regarding the McMinnville Youth Baseball & Softball programs.
- Records daily receipts and forwards to the Administrative Assistant for deposit coordination as needed.
- Coordinates with office staff for collection of fees and distribution of receipts.
- Confers with public, attend meetings, disseminates information, and receives and handles complaints and problems in an effective and customer friendly manner.
- Assists Athletic Coordinator in maintaining computerized record system to track activities, participation statistics, and financial status; assists with reports and prepares/distributes activity schedules and notices.
- Maintains inventory of league supplies and materials and makes recommendations to the Athletic Coordinator for the purchase of additional supplies.
- Provides input during budget preparation for equipment and supplies.
- Supports and enforces operational procedures and policies of the playing fields, department, and the City of McMinnville.
- Takes digital photographs of youth baseball and softball programs.
- Assists Athletic Coordinator in seeking alternative funding such as sponsors and fundraisers.
Qualifications

Knowledge of baseball and/or softball preferred

Experience working with youth programs, sports leagues, or recreation activities is a plus

Strong communication and leadership skills

Ability to work evenings and weekends during the league season

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in overseeing athletic activities.
- Possession of a valid Tennessee operator's license
- Must posses CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications
- Ability to operate a personal computer system using up-to-date software
