What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Fueling Tech position at City of McAlester?
This position works weekend shifts, must live within 30 miles of McAlester Airport, must have valid drivers license.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position provides a fueling services to aircrafts as they arrive to the City and to McAlester Regional Airport. May also help with crew and passenger assistance in a safe and efficient manner.
PRIMARY DUTIES: This list represents the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional duties by management as required.
· Services and fuels aircraft in a safe manner.
· Marshall and park aircraft, greet crew and passengers as they deplane.
· Assist crew and passengers with rental car reservations, courtesy cars, catering, and hotel reservations.
· Perform secondary services for aircraft such as ice, coffee, lavatory service, water service, add oil, clean windscreens, and tow aircraft in to and out of hangars.
· Operate a point of sale machine when customers are ready to pay for fuel and services, and reconcile daily invoices and transactions.
· Maintain an accurate reconciliation of both sales transactions and fuel inventories as required.
· Successfully complete fuel handling safety and quality assurance training.
· Ensures all activities are carried out in a safe manner, adheres to all safety regulations, ensures all regulations pertaining to the safe use of equipment are understood and followed.
· Reports all accidents to the appropriate authority. Follows all policies for reporting.
· Ability to work nights and holidays as needed. This position will work weekend shifts.
· Must have a valid driver’s license to be able to drive a city vehicle.
· Must live within 30 miles of the McAlester Regional Airport for on-call response.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Requires High School diploma, and/or GED.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED: “Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations” refers to professional, state, or federal licenses, certifications, or registrations required to enter the position.
Requires a valid driver’s license. May be required to obtain Class A/B Storage Tank Operator license and Groundwater Monitoring Well Tech license.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: “Experience Requirements” refers to the amount of work experience that is required for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the tasks required by the position.
Must be able to qualify for the following: Safe handling of fuel products, knowledge and familiarity with all types of general aviation and knowledge of towing all types of aircraft.
