Are looking for a career to help make a difference in your community? The City of Martin Police Department will begin accepting applications for the full-time position of Police Officer.
The successful candidate will be an energetic, self-motivated, goal-oriented individual possessing a desire to make a difference in the lives of the citizens of our community. Patrol officers perform a combinations of duties including but not limited to: issuing citations, directing traffic, investigating accidents and reports, and patrolling the city to help suppress crime. Patrol officers also assist our EMS and fire department on emergency calls. We are looking for officers to help foster a good police-community relationship. Come join our family!
Minimum Requirements are:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be a United States citizen
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess a valid Tennessee Driver’s license
- Pass a thorough background investigation including local, state, and national criminal record checks
- Pass an entrance exam
- Oral interview
Requirements upon Conditional Offer of Employment
- A physical examination
- A drug-screening test
- A psychological evaluation
- A physical agility test

Starting Salary: $47,785 (for uncertified applicants)
